It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

...Advent.

For anyone who's never been to Midtown Manhattan on a December weekend, the mad rush begins on Saturday. You haven't lived until you've been part of it. If you stand on tiptoe, the density of the throng will carry you through the Rockefeller Center Promenade, toward 50th Street, across 5th Avenue and then into St. Patrick's Cathedral. Cardinal O'Connor would always get a kick out of it; the Archbishop's 10.15 Sunday Mass would be more packed at Advent than during any other time of the year.

But there's just something magic about that Tree and the vibe that surrounds it. And, just so you know, it's nowhere near as big as it looks on TV or in photos. Still, it's something that everyone should experience at least once. It's a B12 shot of Christmas cheer.
