From Augustine's Seat

I know we have a bunch of readers here who, like my own Anglo-Catholic self, enjoy keeping Canterbury Watch -- you know, just in case Rowan Williams (God love him) decides to pick up in Fr Joe's footsteps and go Benedictine -- so here's a place that might be of some enjoyment and enrichment.

Simon Sarmiento, the webmaster of Thinking Anglicans, just dropped me a line. Apparently he, too, knew Fred McManus and saw him as a "giant of a man." He's far from alone in that assessment.

Fred's funeral is tomorrow near Boston. Please do keep his loved ones, his friends and his happy repose in your thoughts and prayers.
