Ukies Flexing Muscle

Probably enraging the Orthodox all the more, the Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church has opened a seminary -- the largest in the Ukraine -- in its old home base of Lviv:
Thousands of faithful took part in the inauguration of a huge new Greek-Catholic seminary in Ukraine. The Seminary of the Holy Spirit in Lviv was opened by Cardinal Lubomyr Husar, head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, who called it a "gift from God" for the country's reviving martyr-Church. The new seminary is the largest in Ukraine, with 226 men preparing for the priesthood. The charity Aid to the Church in Need has contributed more than four million euros for their formation.
Having moved their seat to the heart of ancient Russian Christianity at Kiev, all that's left to do now is the declaration of the Patriarchate. And as it is, during the "Mnohaya Lita" intercessions at the end of Divine Liturgy (a sumptuous worship experience if ever there were one), the formula has always been to pray not for the major archbishop, but "for our Patriarch"....

Stay tuned on this one. Thanks to Jeff for a correx.
