The Confessional Booth

Students of British politics and fans of PMQs will enjoy Cherie Blair's take on the role of faith in her life.

As with most things New Labour, the piece veers in a million places and seems focus-grouped to death. But Cherie seems determined to keep hitting the role of women in the church....

Somebody send her my Ingrid Stampa piece.

(I particularly loved the part about how she and her schoolmates sang Bridge Over Troubled Water at their liturgies.... Can't say I'm a fan of that -- Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" is where I draw my line.)
