Taking Care of Business

So B16 let the other shoe drop this morning in the Green Mountain State, accepting the resignation of Bishop Kenneth Angell and clearing the way for the succession of Bishop Sal Matano, heretofore the coadjutor-bishop of Burlington, to the top job.

Matano thought it'd be a quick succession, but let this be a lesson to future coadjutors that prematurely marshalling your arms with the arms of the diocese in the expectation that your service as #2 will be "rather brief" might just end up making your waiting time "rather average."

And everything else will have to wait until after the November meeting.
