Yet again, much has been made of Archbishop Raymond Burke's latest commentary on American politics and society, given Tuesday night as he preached a Red Mass in Phoenix.

While the church's "chief justice" -- now also a member of the Congregation for Bishops and the US' most-likely pick for a red hat at the forthcoming consistory -- was quoted as saying that, among other things, the US "is abandoning its Judaeo-Christian foundations... and is embracing a totalitarianism which masks itself as the 'hope,' the 'future,' of our nation" in a Catholic News Agency brief, no fulltext was provided.
