Pfleger, "Free at Last"

The cardinal-archbishop of Chicago might be offering his first presidential preach in the morning... but back in the Windy City, the Catholic cleric closest to the nation's President-elect compared himself to Oprah in his Sunday sermon (...one, per usual, longer than most Masses elsewhere...), telling his flock that "November 4th is past... and I'm unleashed."

And, Good God, was Mike Pfleger ever.

In a way, this Sunday at St Sabina sounded more like Wednesday's front-page of L'Osservatore Romano than anything else out of the US church since the election.

OK, so the Vatican newspaper didn't say, repeatedly, "I am so proud of Barack Obama" (as the Battle Hymn of the Republic played in the background)... but you get the idea.
