"Hope" is On the Way

Earlier in the fall, word slipped that the second encyclical of B16's pontificate would focus on the second of the virtues, bearing the title Spe Salvi -- "Saved by Hope."

Currently in translation, the successor to Deus Caritas Est is expected in the run-up to Advent, with word across the water tipping its publish date as 30 November.

No announcement has yet come from the Holy See... then again, it wouldn't until about a week before.
