One day, two visits in Benedict XVI's Vatican:
Yesterday morning, Santità received James Morris, head of the World Food Program....
In the afternoon, President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt dropped by.
And, somewhere along the line, the gold thread which had previously adorned the papal armchairs disappeared....
Apparently, the All-Seeing Eye wasn't a fan. Further proof that he's a refined one -- shimmering lace rochet notwithstanding. And yet another new pectoral cross has been culled from the Bling Box.
