A Thousand Little Rumors

Et cardinales caro facti sunt?

I hate to say it, people, but here we go. Again.

ADNKronos, the Italian news agency which had the closest thing this business will ever have to a James Frey moment (sans indignant Oprah, of course) with its December report that a consistory would be called on 6 January and held on the 22nd of February, is attempting to seek redemption by running quasi-breathless speculation that "ever more insistent" voices in the Curia are saying that the date on the table is now 25 March, the solemnity of the Annunciation.

Until an announcement comes from The Window, treat the buzz as you would Frey's next book -- exciting, of course. But true?
