American Mantillas, Vatican Frocks

Citing our wonderfully helpful friends at ANSA, AFP reports that the American First Lady, Laura Bush, will have an audience with Benedict XVI on 9 February.

Mrs. Bush, head of the US delegation to the Winter Olympics which begin the following day at Turin, will be accompanied by her daughter, Barbara -- known here at Loggia House as the Cute Twin.
