"You Know, We Just Got the BEST Espresso Machine!"

This is one of those shots that's too good to not post -- Cardinal Lubomyr Husar, the Major Archbishop of Lviv and the almighty Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, on a coffee break at the Plenary of the European Bishops' Conference, which met in Rome this week. (I don't know who the guy on the left is....)

Apparently, the gathered prelates have the option of wearing cassock or suit for the meetings -- but the dressed-up ones are in nigris, the Roman term for hierarchs wearing the simple black soutane.

Could you imagine if this kind of protocol were employed for the USCCB meetings? Oh, my God.
The St. Blog's crowd would immediately excommunicate anyone wearing a suit. Not to mention a grey suit.

So here's something that won't be coming soon to our shores.

Catholic Press Photo comes to the rescue yet again -- they've got the best stuff around.
