The eighth archbishop of San Francisco will be installed at 2pm local time (2200GMT).
I've received a number of e.mails asking if the ceremonies will be webcast in real-time. I'm told they won't be -- the Bay Area television stations won't even be airing the liturgy live. However, it is the archdiocese's intent to make the video available on its website by the end of the week.
As soon as I receive any snippets of the homily, they will appear here. And several ranking sources are on the ground and will be sending the blow-by-blow, so keep it here for wall-to-wall coverage.
