"We Are All Hurting"

Painful days here, church... painful, horrific, brutal days.

To everyone who's sent a word of prayers and support this way, no words could say enough thanks. Please, please, keep 'em comin; suffice it to say, for us in this town, this is just the beginning of a long, dark road ahead.

The time for words will come. For now, though, with hell revisited upon us, the order of these days is, above all, to grieve, to pray, to listen to and absorb the significant outpouring of raw emotions... and -- especially where it's needed most -- to beg forgiveness from the many, many good people who've suffered and endured so much, and still wait for nothing less than that word. That's the only way any sort of healing or good can begin to come from this horror, regardless of how the administration chooses to respond to it.

Lord, send out your Spirit and renew the face of the earth... of this earth.

God love you lot forever; more once the screaming subsides... even if the heartbreak and sense of devastation promise to endure well beyond these days.
