"This Humane and Compassionate Spirit"

As previously noted, the tenth anniversary of the death of Cardinal Basil Hume was observed tonight with a Mass in Westminster Cathedral celebrated by the beloved monk-prelate's second successor, Archbishop Vincent Nichols, a favorite of Hume's who the cardinal ordained as his auxiliary bishop in 1992.
