Let it Rain

As a severe thunderstorm warning hangs over the Northeast, there's no better time to send Belated Birthday Wishes to the creator of the (semi-official) Papal Honors Hymn, who hit the Big 5-0 over the weekend.

Take it away, Monsignor....

Having been properly heralded, recent weeks have seen the Sacred Precip. falling on Orlando (seven), Savannah (five), Portland in Oregon (nine), two in Richmond, nine in Miami... and no less than 14 in Bridgeport.

And for the record, all that Rains isn't Purple -- at least, it shouldn't be. There are lay honors, too... but, sadly, they're nowhere near as utilized.
