Sanctity Central Meets Comedy Central

In a red-letter evening for native Phillyite sons of Italian mothers-cum-Penn alums-cum-"publics"-cum-leading Catholic commentators everywhere (a group which, as of this writing, numbers only two), America mag's resident friend of the saints Jim Martin SJ appeared on last night's Colbert Report about the recent wave of interest in the letters of Bl Teresa of Calcutta.

In a related development, a friend sent word some time back that, indeed, "Stephen Colbert, a devout Catholic, teaches Sunday school every week."

And that's the WØRD.... And, Good God, those kids are so lucky.... And for the rest of us, the Catholic Colbert page is the closest we're ever gonna get.
