Milingo Returns: The Vatican Responds

The first media-quake of Fr Federico Lombardi's stewardship of the Holy See Press Office has been responded to with the following statement (Whispers translation):

The Holy See has not received stated notice on the outcome of the voyage to the United States of America of Mons. Emmanuel Milingo, former Archbishop of Lusaka in Zambia.

In every case, if the statements which have become attributed to him on ecclesiastical celibacy turn out to be true, nothing remains but for them to be deplored, as the discipline of the Church is well-noted in this regard.
