In Sun Devil Country

The spokeswoman for the diocese of Phoenix since 2003 is off to spin for a supermarket chain. Replacement from the Chicago chancery.
Mary Jo West is leaving the diocese to become the spokeswoman for Bashas' supermarkets.

West became the Phoenix diocese spokeswoman in 2003, as the diocese was recovering from investigations into sexual misconduct by priests and the resignation of Bishop Thomas O'Brien.

West was the first woman news anchor in the Valley in 1976 at Channel 10.

West's replacement at the diocese is James Dwyer. He's the current director of media for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
...and all the while, some of us keep wondering what on earth happened to Kim Sue Lia Perkes.
