My fellow religion writers are abuzz over this report from DC:

"Word on the street is that Frank Maniscalco is leaving the USCCB and heading back to Rockville Center.... Apparently he announced it last week."

Msgr. Francis Maniscalco has been director of communications for the episcopal conference for ages and ages. For eight years, he edited the Long Island Catholic, Rockville Centre's diocesan paper, and he holds a doctorate in church administration from Fordham....
