The Dregs of Sun: ICEL in Winter

Just in case you haven't been paying attention, the International Commission for English in the Liturgy is holding its Winter Powwow in a place where it's currently summer.
When you think about it, it fits type -- the same logic brought us Liturgiam Authenticam.
But we're not kidding. As this is being posted, ICEL's Winter Session has just wrapped its second day in Auckland, New Zealand, where it'll run for a week and change. Topping the agenda: Finishing the revised Proper of Seasons, which Bru-Bru has deigned to deliver for the Spring.
As for the meeting's venue, suffice it to say that the Commission has come a long way from the Washington Best Western.
Authenticam? Maybe. Austeritas? Uhhhh....
