Numbers and Figures
Sometime today, the ticker will record its 30,000th Visitor. Though these milestones are becoming more frequent, they astonish me more and more.
30K seems a good marker at which an outlet earns "critical mass" status. These words are being read in very interesting places, and I pray the exposure doesn't inhibit me... too much. I'm not the Establishment type.
Readership is growing at a constant clip -- and in the dead of summer, no less. Up 37% in July and 36% for August, so far. Knight-Ridder would kill for a 73% jump, no?
It took 22 days to get from 10 to 20 and now 16 days from 20 to 30.... Who knows where things'll go next? Well, if I can keep up.
